Wanda McKaskle
is a dynamic, highly motivated musical leader who uses her unique style of teaching, coaching, and managing skills toward
the enhancement of the Barbershop style of music. Wanda has been a member of Sweet Adelines International for over 10 years,
actively involved in both the musical and administrative sides of the chorus.
She has served
as the President as well as other positions on the Board of Directors. Wanda currently holds the certification as Certified
Director for Sweet Adelines International. As the director for Piney Hills Harmony Chorus, she spends a good deal of her time
traveling to music education classes to bring back exciting music techniques to improve her chorus's singing
skills.
Wanda began directing the Piney Hills Harmony Chorus in 1999. Her constant support,
coaching, and musical skills have helped to take the chorus from 8th place to 1st place in Regional competition over the years.
Our scores have steadily improved and the chorus continues to grow both in numbers and vocally.
Wanda continually strives to make us the best we can be. "It is truly a joy
to direct this chorus. We have a wonderful group of women who always work together in harmony. I want us to be the very best
chorus in this region and so we practice hard and have a fun time doing it. You will come try us out because you love to sing,
and you will stay because you love the camaraderie of the group. A lot has been said and sung about our friendship and
music. They go together, locked into one another in a special bond of happiness for us and for those in our audience."
